... Let's just say... a certain... type of person may have gotten involved and said some very not nice things... regarding my relationship with Maria, who had no right.

And I had to talk with her and then she left, forever. --That's all there is to say.

...I'm not sure what that means. I did...kill Asumu. If she hadn't suddenly died, I was going to at that same moment.

[So what did she do to the CPS lady then??]

Then how did she die! How much of a coincidence is it that I was just leaving my house with a knife in my hand, called to see if she was home alone, and it was Rudolf who answered telling me she was dead?! Right when I really needed it, when telling him I was pregnant was unavoidable?!

You don't think... Rudolf-nii-san did it, do you?

No, of course not. He's an awful man, but he couldn't do something like that. Besides, he always wanted to protect her, that's how she roped him in.

Did she even have an autopsy?

It would have been pretty obvious if it was murder. He wouldn't have the foresight for a slow poisoning or something. Besides, he didn't even know until that call that I was pregnant. What reason would he have? Not to mention that he's actually a wuss, even when he talks big.

[sighs] This isn't your turn to have your version of "Krauss-nii-san is actually lovey-dovey," is it?

--Anyway, I don't know if you know, but I could easily tell you stories about Rudolf-nii-san that you would think were very untoward!

Do you think I would love him or that he would be such a good father to Ange if he was wholly cruel? I already told you what he's like when we're alone. I know everything there is to know about how terrible he is, I know how he treated you, and how he was treated by his older siblings too. I know that he gets sick every year around the conference because he can't look people like you in the eye when he feels guilty, and that he's still terrified of Krauss and Eva. ...And I also know that he loved that woman. No matter how much I hate it.

...Yes, Rudolf-nii-san is the type he wouldn't hide that. He'd brag about it, like it was nothing.

Still I bet he didn't tell you anything about this one night when he got drunk and opened the door of my room by accident...

Anyway, it was late... Rudolf-nii-san had helped himself to the liquor cabinet, that much was obvious. He opened the door to my room, looked in and said something like: "Oh, what'd I do to get a nice girl waiting for me in my bed..."

I sat up and told him this was my own room. Apparently he'd gotten confused about where he was going. --But he gave me this look like he was considering coming in anyway...

[shudders]

I told him if he took even one step inside, I'd scream so loud Father would hear, and he finally slinked himself away...

It's not like anything happened. And nothing would, he's a terrible, awful person. But there's no way he would lay hands on someone like that.

You think any man would do something that awful based purely on the fact he's a man? I've had plenty of bad experiences with men too, Rudolf most of all, but that's a bit much.
