Overall impression: "Gave me a cigarette when he could've told me to go fuck myself. Didn't use my attempt to get a swig of alcohol from him to rake me over the coals. He gets more critical during the 'trial,' but there's no helping that, I suppose. We'll see how things play out."
Need to be nice to?: Maybe, but it might not matter since he seems to write off all attempts at 'making nice' as manipulation. --But is he hoarding his cigarettes yet?

Overall impression: "Such a dominating, confident man... who in addition to that is so handsome... somehow even his criticisms seem more righteous than annoying. There's no doubt this is a powerful man. If he existed in the 20th century, he'd rival Father."
Need to be nice to?: She's emotionally invested enough she wants to be nice to him.
Attraction?: Yes! If he was maybe twenty years older he'd be the epitome of Rosa's type. ...That, and if he were interested in her.
Motherly instinct?: No, in fact she specifically avoids bringing that up to try to keep him from seeing her as a 'mother'.

Overall impression: "Battler's changed from the boy I knew, and it's hard to tell what parts of him are his base personality, growing up outside of Rudolf's influence, or the Foundation. He gives me strange looks and that concerns me. Still... he's my only lifeline, and my best hope at getting through this."
Need to be nice to?: Yes. She needs to maintain her "nice Aunt" demeanor at all fucking costs. If she loses Battler's trust, it's over.
Attraction?: No! The very thought is gross on so many levels.
Motherly instinct?: Less so since it's Rudolf's brat and he's taller than her, but she is genuinely worried for him and worried about his actions... from time to time.
Dr. Romani Archaman
Overall impression: "He's nice enough. Seems to care, and an uplifting force. Though he does need to calm down and keep a level head... much too jumpy."
Need to be nice to?: Being mean to Dr. Romani feels like the equivalent of kicking a fluffy puppy, so, yes.
Attraction?: Much too skittish. Much too nice. Pass.
Motherly instinct?: Too old to trigger that reaction in her.
